ARTIST PORTRAIT // video for the European Dancehouse Network

“Yes. After the Greek crisis, I became a political artist. If it wasn’t for the Greek crisis, an a-political artist I would be… For sure. Praise the Lord for the Greek crisis! Now all Greek artists, we’re amazing!” 😏

This ARTIST PORTRAIT video was created for the first European Dancehouse Network (EDN) Meeting in Athens, held at the Isadora & Raymond Duncan Dance Research Center (DDRC).

For the “Placements / Responses / Positions” screening, thirteen Greek artists were asked to present how the Greek crisis has affected their thinking and work.

It includes extracts from THE WALK [2013], OSMOSIS [2012], RELIC [2015] and DEAREST WELCOMING LEMNOS [2014].

IETM Athens // cultural policy as we would love it

On 18 October 2013, Euripides was invited to talk at an IETM Athens working group session titled “Let’s Design a Future 1: Cultural Policy, As We Would Love It”. Moderated by Luca Bergamo (Secretary General of Culture Action Europe), the panel also included British policy advisor John Kieffer, and Greek theatre director K. Alexis Alatsis.

Euripides and OSMOSIS also presented their anthology piece THE WALK – an outdoor, site-specific promenade performance – at IETM Athens (17-19 October 2013).
